Emeritus

Pastor, Elliott D, Williams was born in New Orleans Louisiana to the proud parents of Rufus and myrtle Williams on the 2nd day of June 1952. He was educated in the public school system and graduated from Joseph S. Clark High School.

Pastor, Williams furthered his education by attending Platt Jr. College in Saint Joseph Missouri and, he has successfully completed his studies at Union Bible College and Theological Seminary in New Orleans, Louisiana. He continued his studies by attending Emmaus Bible College in Riverside, California. He has studied at Shorter University in Atlanta, Ga.

He was chosen to the gospel while attending the Mount Carmel Baptist Church of New Orleans, Louisiana where he was both Licensed (1991) and Ordained (1993) under the tutelage and the dynamic leadership of his Pastor, Rev. Louis S. Jones.

He is married to Mrs. Ethel J. Williams and they are the proud parents of three wonderful daughters Kim, Ronda and Sonia. He and Ethel are the grand-parents to eight lovely grandchildren.

Pastor, Williams has served faithfully in the Pastoral capacity for the past fifteen years. Currently he is the proud Pastor of the Pleasant Hills South Missionary Baptist Church located in College Park, Georgia. He has also Pastored the Pleasant Hills Missionary Baptist Church in Atlantan Georgia and in Salem, Alabama at the Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church.

Pastor, Williams is a member of the Metropolitan Atlanta Baptist Ministers Union, Inc., where he has served as the 1st Vice President. He is a life time member of the Atlanta Branch of the NAACP. In 2005 he was recognized and awarded by the Metropolitan Who's Who for outstanding Community service. In 2009 the Unity Network and Counseling Center recognized him for his humanitarian services that he has provided over the years. In 2009, he was honored by the Secretary of State with the Outstanding Citizen award and afforded the courtesy as a Goodwill Ambassador from the state of Georgia. In April 2012, Pastor Williams was granted the CTB/McGraw-Hill LLC TABE Administrator Certificate on planning and administering Test of Adult Basic Education.

Pastor, Williams offers years of experience working with at risk youth and young people. He is highly motivated, dedicated and committed to excellence in any endeavor. His ministry has taken him abroad as far as Liberia, Africa in 2004 and to Haiti in 2008 on the mission field.

Currently, along with his Pastoral duties as Pleasant Hills South, he also serves as founder/CEO of the Pleasant hill Housing and CDC, Inc. His efforts in community serve is unceasing and worthy of mention; Pastor Williams is involved in Mentoring, Summer Enrichment Camp, Adult Education, Voters Registration, Outreach and most of all Evangelism.

Last but not least pastor Williams confessed Christ as his personal Lord and Savior at an early age and was baptized at the Galilee Baptist Church of New Orleans, La., under the capable leadership of Pastor Willie Brown, Sr.
